INVITATION TO ORDINARY MEN
*********************************************
An Invitation To Ordinary Men
When we become reunited to the Lord through faith in Jesus Christ, we
begin to take on a dimension of royalty that we lost at the Fall in Eden.
We begin to learn to live by the Spirit, not following our own
understandings yielding to and heeding the quiet voice of the Lord in our
every day lives. We begin to mount up as with eagles' wings and rise to
new heights in Christ and begin to live and serve as a royal race of
blood-bought kings and priests unto our God. And as we walk with God, we
are transformed from glory to glory.
1 John 3:2 "Beloved, we are God's children now; it does not yet appear
what we shall be, but we know that when he appears we shall be like him,
for we shall see him as he is."
Now contrast this lofty picture of redeemed men with Paul's startling
rebuke in 1 Corinthians 3:3. "For you are still of the flesh. For while
there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh, and
behaving like ordinary men?"
Paul rebuked the church at Corinth for walking as "ordinary men." Another
translation renders the phrase as, "mere men." Paul was rebuking the
gathering of saints in Corinth because they were living far below their
status in Christ as ordinary people. He was telling them that they were no
longer ordinary! And how often is this same sad ho-hum tragedy played out
in the lives of modern saints?
Beloved, we are no longer mere men! We are the sons of God, filled with
His life, paid for in full by His blood! In Him, we are a New Creation -
which is best understood as being something completely new under the sun.
Yes, we are mortal and no, we are NOT gods as some heretically teach. We
are the Ransomed of the Lord, His Beloved, His Redeemed. We are the fruit
of Jesus' bloody sacrifice reborn into His glorious image! And - major
shock - He is not ashamed to call us His brothers.
It is the Lord's invitation to His church to live as sons of God. In Luke
12:32, Jesus said, "Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good
pleasure to give you the kingdom." The kingdom of God is ours! But we have
to let go of our earthly life and begin to heed the Holy Spirit and fill
our hearts with the Truth of His Word. We must become those who say No to
the flesh and Yes to Jesus! Remember this staggering declaration in
Galatians 3:26, "For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through
faith."
Being led of the Spirit is a distinguishing characteristic of Sonship in
Christ. Romans 8:14 "For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of
God." As we learn to live out this high and lofty calling that we have
been offered, we no longer live like mere men, but learn the ways of Love
Himself. We are transformed from creatures who creep along in the dirt
scavenging for yet another day's existence consumed with what we shall eat
and wear - the Lord knows have need of such things - and begin to focus on
what will bring the Father Glory!
As we work our jobs, we begin to work "as unto the Lord." As we love our
wives, we begin to love even as Christ loves His church. We begin to exude
a divine life and develop an abiding joy that isn't shaken by
circumstance. We become as solid rocks in a world of shifting wind-blown
sand. And as we begin to live in preparation for the next life, we
ironically become fully alive and useful in this passing life.
The sad truth is that for now we live in a fallen, dying world and one day
our bodies shall return to the dust. But we shall live forever! Jesus
said, in Luke 20:36, "For they cannot die any more, because they are equal
to angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection."
And when Jesus returns to rule the nations in righteousness, we shall be
changed. Until then, we must walk like those who seek for a city whose
builder and maker is God and live as strangers on this planet - Romans
8:19 "For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the
sons of God."
We shall receive our full inheritance one day when our bodies are
resurrected in Glory never to die again. Romans 8:11 "If the Spirit of him
who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus
from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit
which dwells in you." Until that great day, we are invited to partake of
the Kingdom to come, and walk not as ordinary people, but live fully and
gloriously as the sons of the Living God!

NEWSLETTER
Jesus is the Reason for this Season. Its a busy time of the year,
and we are busy making plans for the New Year. Praying and seeking the
Lords will for this Ministry. Many changes going on in the world, but
time and time again the changes we have wanted for the site havent been
the Lords will. He likes to keep things simple, and PRAYER is our main
purpose. We pray for others, and God is Sending in the Praise reports to
let us know that he is still on the Throne and Prayer is Changing things.
People are getting Healed, and finding Jobs. Relationships are being
restored, and people are being blessed with new Jobs. So lets keep it
simple in our own lives. Set aside time to Pray for those in need, and
the Lord will bless you when you need Prayer. We all have to hold up one
anothers hands. Time and time again we find this is how it works. We are
one Body, and we need to suport one another daily. Job 42:10 And the LORD
turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD
gave Job twice as much as he had before.
Job22
27. Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him and he shall hear thee, and thou
shat pay thy vows. 28. Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be
established unto thee, and the light shall shine upon thy ways. 29.When
men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up, and he shall
save the humble person. 30.He shall deliever the island of the innocent,
and it is delievered by the pureness of thine hand.
Pray for us to see clearly how to set up the site with a Gift Store. The
Bookstore is nice, but not enough income to suport the site. We need the
Holy Spirit to show us what he wants to do to bless all the work of our
hands. We are a Non-Profit, so we are able to take tax free donations.
However we wanted to stay away from asking for money and offer gifts to
suport the Ministry. Please Pray for a Breakthrough in this area. Have a
wonderful Holiday Season, and lets Pray for a New Year that will bring
many into the Kingdom of Gods dear son, while there is still time.

PROPHETIC DIRECTION
What sort are you?
1. Prophets of the Lord - Elijah, Micaiah and the 100 saved by Obadiah
[true prophets] 2. Prophets of Baal - 450 satanic priests, unsaved
prophetic people, soothsayers, carnal prophets, diviners, mystics [false
prophets] 3. Prophets of Israel - serving in the 'king of Israel's house'
or in the church [deceived prophets]
There is a lot of talk about false prophets these days, but almost no talk
about those who eat at the table of Jezebel. These ones - who have access
to the kings and rulers of the church, these who speak from their own
imagination and not from God.
We find reference to these 'prophets of Israel' later in the writings of
another OT prophet - Ezekiel. God told him, "Son of man, prophesy against
the prophets of Israel who are now prophesying. Say to those who prophesy
out of their own imagination: 'Hear the word of the LORD!_ Woe to the
foolish prophets who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing!"
(Ezekiel 13:2,3). Notice they are clearly not designated false, they are
prophets of Israel - deceived, foolish and carnal. The ensuing verses cast
a fascinating backlight on the 400 who ate at the table of Jezebel.
Ezekiel tells us this (vs 4-11):
- Their visions are false
- They utter divinations and minister by a familiar spirit.
- They say, "The LORD declares," when the LORD has not
- They give false hope and security, leading people astray
- They say good things when bad things are coming
- They prophesy the acceptable and the party line
- God is against these prophets.
- They have no part in God's kingdom
- His wrath will be spent against them!
It gives us cause to rest and consider our role in the church doesn't it?
I wonder how many of these things we get caught up in when we start to
fear men, seek position, attain status, get a reputation or end up in an
all to familiar relationship with the elders. I wonder where the line is
between the prophet of Israel and the prophet of the Lord? The line is
indistinct, and one might cross it at any time!
Conclusion
Have we added to the word of God? Have we expanded on the truth? Have we
said something which was from our own mind and tacked on 'says the Lord'.
Let us beware of the snare of serving kings and priests who do not have
the kingdom of God as their primary focus, and who are quietly leading the
people of God away after other gods. Let us be servants of God before we
are servants of men!
Let us be sensitive to prophesying the party line and stay clear of
politics. How much better to be hidden like the prophets saved by Obadiah.
How much better to run like Elijah. How much better to stand against the
foolish 'staff prophets' and tell the truth, even if it means loosing our
reputation and getting thrown in a dungeon like Micaiah. Let us be known
as 'men of God' not as 'prophets of Israel'. Choose this day who you will

PRAYER & INTERCESSION
Lord we want to take this time to thank you for your Precious Gift, JESUS.
Thank you that we have recieved him into our Lives, and have the Joy of
knowing him and walking with him daily. Bless others at this time to
realized what he has done for them, and offer them the Gift of Eternal
Salvation, and the Blessings of being in your Kingdom. Go out now and
spread the Word, and encourge us to do more for the Kingdom in the Comming
Year. Lead us and guide us, and anoint us with Boldness to tell of the
Wonders of your Mercy and Grace. Grant our Nation a New Begining. We
pray now for all those in leadership in this Nation. Watch over our
President and the members of the Congress, and guide them by the
skillfulness of your hand. Stop the mouths of the News Media, and bring a
Good Report for our Nation this Holiday Season. We thank you for getting
our Nations House in order, and doing above all we could ask or think.
Set aside this on going trama, and Loose a right mind to our leaders. Get
them back to business, and Heal and Restore our Goverment. Bring Unity in
our Capitol, and let the Lord be Magnified and Lifted up in Washington DC.
